Overview

TGR Tigershead - conquering Tigershead, climbing Lo Yan Shan, and visiting the century-old Silver Mine Cave TGR Tigershead 2023 is back! Registration starts today. The competition date is scheduled for December 9th, so everyone can challenge Tigershead in the cool weather of late autumn. The race is divided into 33km, 16km and 5km. It is suitable for runners of different levels. In addition, "Family walk" has been added, where the whole family can enjoy this little town, Mui Wo. Along the course, there are many attractions and challenges. Let’s enjoy it.

Location Mui Wo River Silver Garden

The 33k course can be divided into 2 sections. The first half starts from Mui Wo River Silver Garden, runners slowly climb up Nam Shan at Tai Tei Tong, then cross South Lantau Road, and then climbs to the top of Tai Ngau Wu Teng. Behind the fire lookout, there are stone steps down to Shap Long Old Village. Runners go along the road to Chi Ma Wan and Shap Long Reservoir , then follow the Chi Ma Wan Country Trail to climb Lo Yan Shan. The scenery up there are so beautiful. You can see Pui O Beach up close, and the scenery of Sunset Peak and Lantau Peak in the distance. Walk north along the mountain trail, pass through Miu Tsai Tun and return to Shap Long Old Village for supplies. After passing the 6km seaside path back to the venue in Mui Wo, the first half of 17 kilometers is completed. The second half is same as the 16 km.

Runners start from Mui Wo River Silver Garden and climb up Wo Sheung Au via Wang Tong. Turn left and then arrive at Tung Mui Ancient Trail. In the past, Tung Mui Ancient Trail was the mountain trail used by villagers such as Tung Chung and Pak Mong to trade in Mui Wo. It is named "Islands Nature Heritage Trail - Mui Wo Section" and also "Olympic Trail" today. Leaving Tung Mui Ancient Trail, we reached the century-old Silver Mine Cave and Pak Ngan Heung, and returned to the finish.

Location Mui Wo River Silver Garden

Parents and kids start from Mui Wo River Silver Garden and go to the gorgeous Silvermine Bay Beach. They then walk along Tung Mui Ancient Road to Silvermine Waterfall. Then they slowly walk down to visit the century-old Silver Mine Cave, and then passed by Pak Ngan Heung and Man Mo Temple with a history of over 400 years. Then return to Mui Wo River Silver Garden.
