Points Scoring System
Points Scoring System
The Green Race Speed Series is our 4 major events across New Territories, Hong Kong Island, and Lantau Island, including TGR 8 Immortals, TGR Double Nine, TGR Pottinger, and TGR Tigershead. We will adopt the point system to the Long Distance in the series. The final winner will be determined by the highest score in any 3 races in the series, and your ranking and elapsed time will contribute to your final score.
There are 2 elements in the system : position and finished time. Most of the participants have to focus on their finish time to score the performance points. For elite runners , to get a better position in a race may help to achieve bigger advantages over their opponents for the series championship.

Points Calculation
Position Points + Performance Points = final score of the race
Scenario A
Let’s say Runner A got the champion in the race and finished in 3:10 hours.
The runner can get 250 (Position Points) + 150 (Performance Points) = 400 (Total Points)
Scenario B
If 3 runners participated in all races in the series, we will count their score in the best 3 races.
GreenRace 8 Immortals | GreenRace Double Nine | GreenRace Pottinger | GreenRace Tigershead
Runner A | 400 | 330 | 400 | 270 |
Runner B | 300 | 400 | 270 | 400 |
Runner C | 270 | 270 | 330 | 330 |
Runner A best result:400 + 400 + 330 = 1130
Runner B best result:400 + 400 + 300 = 1100
Runner C best result:330 + 330 + 270 = 930
According to the scoring system, the final winner will go to Runner A.
Scenario C
If 2 runners get the same score for the 3 races, we will consider their position for each race.
GreenRace 8 Immortals | GreenRace Double Nine | GreenRace Pottinger | GreenRace Tigershead
Runner D | 38 | 43 | 100 | 54 |
Runner E | 300 | 400 | 270 | 400 |
Runner D : 38th x 1, 43th x 1, 54th x 1
Runner E : 40th x 1, 45th x 1, 100th x 1
According to the scoring system, Runner D’s performance is better.
Scenario D
GreenRace 8 Immortals | GreenRace Double Nine | GreenRace Pottinger | GreenRace Tigershead
Runner F | 400 ( 3hr 15m ) | 330 (3hr 40m) | 400 | 270 |
Runner G | 330 (3hr 32m) | 400 (3hr 16m) | 270 | 400 |
Runner F:3hr 15m + 3hr 40m = 6hr 55m
Runner G:3hr 32m + 3hr 16m = 6hr 48m
According to the scoring system, the final winner goes to Runner G.
